Hello fellow friends, foreigners and others of the internet,
I have been interested in writing about this subject for quite some time, but haven't had the time to do it until now. "Drakoloid Adult Zone" the adult channel branded and founded by Drake Vegas as a secondary channel for Drakoloid. The channel is dedicated for late night viewers that want original adult oriented web series.
In the original press release for the adult zone it was stated that this channel was created to separate kids and teen content from adult content on the channel. This is the 2nd brand of Drakoloid attempting adult content.
The first was the Drakoloid Rated A block that was launched in 2012 and disbanded in 2020 on the old livestream format. Drakoloid Rated A had some adult original shows like Long Lost and Whispers Of Death it mainly reran older webseries that nobody knew even existed. By 2017 the block was pretty abandoned with the same 3-4 shows in reruns and no new original content was being made for the show.
2021 came by and Adult Zone was launched as the new Drakoloid adult entertainment block/channel. The branding with the vapor wave gaming template was brilliant. They wanted to capture nostalgia of the older audience and well mission accomplished.
The first week the line up was Living Free, Chapters, Derek & Ryan and Candid.
Living Free and Chapters were the introductions to Mike Barkhoff who has become a bigger star on the network since the release of Men of the House. Chapters is a past work of his that has an avant-garde type of aesthetic. Living Free is basically the biography of a film maker and the struggles of it. These feel autobiographical and more so drama type shows but Living Free has its funny moments. Derek and Ryan is the High Schooled spin-off show. I am planning to write a separate detailed review on Derek & Ryan's first season. It honestly is the best on the network and you see why High Schooled was a top rated show for the network originally. Derek and Nick acting takes on a whole new level with that show. Candid is an original Drakoloid Adult Zone show and animated. Candid is quite Candid and is the only one with 18+ restriction because of the nudity. Even though its animated dicks (LOL) guess they needed to be censored. Hilarious show hope we see more.
Other shows on the channel that we have seen is Mike Barkhoff's "Down" which is from 2019 and is another off the cup type show and it's funny. "Horror Fest" is shown around halloween and that show is the scarier version of Chapters.
Majority of the series on Adult Zone are done by Mike Barkhoff he adds so much that he definitely is the future of Drakoloid. I'm happy we see him everywhere now on this network. Over the past year the line up has been usually Living Free first and everything else follows.
In Fall 2022 the line up changed and Derek and Ryan took the lead spot. Derek and Ryan starting Adult Zone is the best choice the ratings went higher on the livestreams and people seem to be tuning in to Adult Zone more. I feel Living Free is more of a middle of the block type show rather than an opener. I enjoy every second of each show.
My overall feelings on Adult Zone is that I feel its a good hour for young adults like myself can watch and kick back with these grungy, vulgar and experimental series. They are modern yet they have reminiscences of childhood and the past. My wish for this block is for it to have more shows, more variety, more faces and more animation like Candid.
