Drakoloid Reviews: March 4th 2017 TeenHood "Runaway From The Smoke", Uniquely Normal & Kevin & Alec's Adventures!

Hey fellow people of the internet,

Retrograv here for another great review again on Drakoloid. Going to try to diversify my blog sometime soon with new reviews but for now I am going to stick with Drakoloid shows.

Tonight I am going to review March 4th episode content on Drakoloid which is TeenHood "Runaway From The Smoke" and the Drakoloid premiere of Comedy Cubed's productions Uniquely Normal and Kevin & Alec's Adventures!

So the new Teenhood "Runaway From The Smoke" tonight had a lot of revamping, plot twisting and character development throughout. Lets start with talking about the revamp of the show. In the opening credits it is now changed to just clips of upcoming episodes in the show of characters walking around with emotions, anger, happiness, silliness instead of as a traditional opening with the cast listed. I think this is a much stronger opening especially because the cast could get changed again so this is better for the show.

The episode is about when Carly finds out Alex her boyfriend is smoking and she has to figure a way to confront him to stop before she has the baby. The first thing i'd like to say is Michaela Chandler who plays Mikayla Wild and Natalie Sanchez on Viral Jenneration. She is now the replacement and I have to say this was the best decision none of the other Carly's brought the emotion that was needed for this soap opera. This is a soap opera drama show and some people in this show are able to show the emotion but some can't at all where their acting is laughable. Michaela Chandler presents a wonderful dramatic Carly in distress here and it may be because of her drama/theatrical background. That really captures this and that solo scene at the end was brilliant of her trying to tell Alex whats going on.

Then the subplot is Britney trying to get Miranda to see her and Cameron together in his basement which it worked she did which leds to interesting continuation for the next episode of what will happen? And then we have the third plot developed with Stacey and Taylor where Taylor tells Stacey that she has a plan to destroy Britney once and for all. She convinces Stacey to be part of this which shall lead to some juicy things happening with Britney in the next few episodes.

We are left in our seats because this plot is reaching the climax of the season where "all hell is going to break loose" and it shall be interesting to see what it unleashs. You can tell this was still during Season 1 Production when these episodes were filmed and written. Three more of these "Season 1 Produced" episodes left to go. This episode was a solid episode it definitely is one of the best by far from the series and it deserves a solid 9/10.

Now for our next two shows on the list we have the Drakoloid premiere of the two Comedy Cubed acquired series "Uniquely Normal" and "Kevin & Alec's Adventures!".

Lets start with Uniquely Normal, this show is a show about a kid named "Arthur" played by Merchant himself who does video documentation on his life at a middle school that is a boarding school with his friend and neighbour Charles played by Anthony Devera.

This show is very short but makes it very unique, the reason being it short is because this was made back in 2013. In 2013 Youtube Shows weren't really around in a full length of what Drakoloid presents. Uniquely Normal presents a typical youtube series that usually have a short length of 1 or 2 minute episodes. We got three different ones, "Arthur", "Roller Coaster Day" and "The Robbery". My favourite would probably be Roller Coaster Day because it was nice to see Arthur and Charles just having a fun time outside and playing Tag as a simple solution to have fun.

And then after was the premiere of Kevin & Alec's Adventures with the episode "Accidental Success". Shows Kevin and Alec as project partners creating a website of "Everything Awesome" really funny because in the end they can't use computers but the website gets a bunch of buzz.

Again this really short like Uniquely Normal but was made in the later part of 2013. The episode Accidental Success gets I would say about a 8.5/10. While Uniquely Normal gets 7/10 for its three shorts. Well done work and it was also pretty cool seeing Nicholas Merchant in other acting projects other than Ryan Brahamer on High Schooled.

Drakoloid Reviews: February 25th Teenhood "Almost Asked" & High Schooled "The Guinea Pig Funeral"

Hello fellow readers,

Retrograv here with another review on Drakoloid shows we are reviewing the triumph return of Teenhood "Almost Asked" and High Schooled "The Guinea Pig Funeral". So here  we go..

TeenHood Almost Asked is the first episode in 10 months since we had this show people are saying this is season 2 but this was filmed with season 1 episodes. This episode was about Brittney confronting Taylor on her negative attitude. In this episode we see Taylor starting to become irritated with Brittney which I predict sometime in the future Taylor will dump Brittney as a friend maybe in the next episode or the episode after? We will see what happens. But then we have Miranda and Stacey both confronting each other for the first time in a while. Miranda explains that she wasn't talking about Stacey behind her back and they sweetly make up. A nice wrap up on Stacey right there.  :)

I have to say this episode felt very short and we were missing a few characters Carly, Alex, Cameron, Simon but I did enjoy it. This episode gets a rating of 7.5/10 not the best but not the worst just in the middle.

Now over onto High Schooled The Guinea Pig Funeral is about when its Derek birthday and Amanda  makes Derek and Ryan stay with her for the funeral of "Muffin", Amanda's Guinea Pig. I have to say this episode was quite surprising and was perfectly executed in writing and acting. The plot flowed all together smoothly. Nicholas Merchant writing and directing shines well with this episode. Its almost as strong as what was written in older Drakoloid shows such as Diaries Of Alice's Bedroom, Are You Ready To Scream, Carter The Cat and early episodes of ARTic, it can even be placed in the same league as Junglematic & Imperfect Patrick Season 1 & 2 episodes category that had similar yet original plots. There is also the joy of the iconic "Oh Muffin" song 😀. The heart warming yet comedic end with Amanda and Derek making up by Amanda ripping up his laser tag tickets was purely great.

This episode was the strongest of the series so far and makes me look forward to the next episode. This episode gets a rating of 9.5/10 or even a 10/10 in some ways when looked at it.

Thank you all for reading this review!

Drakoloid Review: February 11th ARTic "Mixed Masks" Drakoloid Changes to LGBTQ+ Supportive

Hey fellow blog readers Retrograv here for new blog review,

Today I am reviewing a special episode of ARTic that really touched my heart and made me over the top excited for Drakoloid. Yesterday February 11th Drakoloid decided to change its history and become an LGBT supportive community. Some fun fact information is that the network use to not ever allow their writers to go to those sort of topics but now they can. It is weird to believe that Drakoloid was once a conservative network and not to mention a kids/teens network. It still remains as a kids/teens network which is very interesting because no other kids/teen networks on Television or on the internet never talk about same-sex relationships only briefly or under the cover.

Let me start the review to see where they hit the main points on this episode of ARTic.

This episode of ARTic called "Mixed Masks" was written by the network owner Drake Vegas himself. ARTic does a 360 in this with its casting, opening because Leila Stroud and Pat Kizer are no longer included in the opening of the show. Now we have Alejandra Deleon as Samantha Vegas added into the main cast. We also have Andrew Bouch as our new and possibly last Blake, Kim Lawrence our new and possibly last as Amy Rogers and Jack Ripoff as our new Kyle. Now with those big changes if they stay for at least the rest of the series it should stand well. Andrew Bouch and Kim Lawrence really know how to act well. Kim Lawrence reminds me of Leila Stroud the most out of any of the Amy's.

The main plot is Jennifer, Amy and Samantha where Samantha helps Jennifer finish her Mask for her Mask week project however when she tries it on with industrial glue it gets stuck. What also then twists this plot is Jennifer goes out with a guy named "Trevor" played by Mex Nov and he doesn't ever get to see her face. It really is humorous to watch and see it all unramble as the show goes on. Later Jennifer gets the mask off but it gives her a rash that Amy searches up on Trevors profile that he hates people who have them. Later Jennifer gets attacked by a spider in a hula skirt and then she runs off and her mask comes off. Trevor then confronts her saying that he is already dating someone and the plot twists even further into the next plot.

The sub plot is Blake showing around this new kid "Dillon" who is played by a dragged version of Sarah Kellysen. Blake finds an attraction to him throughout the episode and it becomes obvious. He finally confronts his feelings and his sexuality as being "bicurious" from my POV. When Blake asks Dillon out, Dillon already has a boyfriend. Which Dillon is dating Trevor Jennifer's romantic interest in this episode. Amazing plot twist ending that takes a while to process. In the final scene where Dillon explains bi sexuality it is explained in a way where everyone can understand what that is so young audiences are educated on the topic. That was the primary goal and the introduction to Drakoloid's LGBTQ+ movement. What a well done execution to it.  Mixed Masks in my opinion gets a solid 9.5/10 it was perfect in every aspect except I wish there was more equal amounts of Bradley. But It was also different to see Jennifer and Blake get screwed over instead of Bradley always getting screwed. This episode brought so much character development that I hope is developed further in the episodes to come.

As we move further Drakoloid will be having more LGBT upcoming episodes and shows such as Three In A Modern State. I am really touched and happy that to watch Drakoloid because most of these shows are relatable in many different aspects. I am going to be looking forward to what Drakoloid brings in the next few months and year towards the LGBT community and just content wise.

Happy Birthday Alejandra Deleon

Just want to make a post all about Alejandra Deleon from Rock The Basement and ARTic on Drakoloid.

Alejandra Deleon born December 12, 1999 she is currently doing youtube videos constantly one of the best new/small youtubers. Alejandra is a very comedic talented young lady many say she may be "The Face of Drakoloid" for the next few years. I think her and Hazel Woodley will rule together in my opinion.

In Rock The Basement she is the host and main act for all the episodes so its a one woman show just like how it was in Diaries Of Alice's Bedroom. She is following Sarah Kellysen's roots and maybe this time she will become even bigger now that Drake Vegas has a structure within his shows.

Then in ARTic, while Pat Kizer was out for a while she substituted as Samantha Vegas, as well as guest starred on other episodes as different characters in the show.  It proved big time in this show her comedic timing is phenomenal. I hope she appears more often and do more guest work in the future. She seems to have been becoming loved within the community, Just in the past few weeks.

Happy Birthday Alejandra Deleon you are a personal and fan favourite of mine and I hope your day is blessed with the best. :) We love you #Lions

Drakoloid Reviews: ARTic "Samantha's Big Carwash Scam" & High Schooled "The Troll"

Hey everybody,

Retrograv here reviewing two Drakoloid shows from a Frakoloid line up for ARTic and High Schooled.

Anyways lets start..

Tonights ARTic was titled Samantha's Big Carwash Scam this episode I assumed was a big Samantha one. This episode was about how Samantha started a car washing business but Jennifer finds out she is just doing as a scam to ride in peoples cars. Jennifer and Samantha end up getting stuck in the car which they call for Bradley to save them. Sooner or later Bradley saves them but Samantha backs up and the car is backed into the garage, which then they all leave with raccoons eating everything in the garage. 😂

In my opinion I thought this episode was the best and most normal episode of season three so far. It had a few main character missing but it was very simple and funny. The car wash music dancing and the physical comedy elements really complimented the episode. Alejandra Deleon really knows how to play Samantha Vegas very well.

Overall I would give Samantha's Big Carwash Scam a rating of 8.5/10 it was honestly the best episode with physical comedy in the series or one of the best.

The other Drakoloid show I am reviewing is High Schooled with the short called The Troll. In this episode Derek posts a video of him and Ryan rapping which goes viral then someone is trolling the comment sections. Derek believes it is Amanda, but when someone else keeps typing when Ryan and Derek are confronting her it proves she didn't do it. Plot twist, at the end Amanda's friend was doing it. 😈

So this short episode was really funny and just a nice bit of what were going to get in the series while we wait for The Cult (Part 2). I really love the use of Amanda in the show she is a really funny character on the side that we see. Sometimes we see Sean and then other times Amanda. This was released before The premiere episode on Comedy Cubed channel, came out it was a good preview.

Overall The Troll is pretty solid and simply so I would give it a 8/10 especially with the way things were done. Good job to all!

Drakoloid Review: Nov 18th ARTic & High Schooled - Procrastination & Cults

Hey everybody,

Retrograv here reviewing tonights Frakoloid/Drakoloid line up so just wanted to say that tonights Frakoloid line up was changed bit because Viral Jenneration moved to the 8pm slot and ARTic is now 815pm. I don't know if thats going to be pushed further when High Schooled and Rock The Basement have more episodes? Its interesting how things are changing with the structure of Drakoloid.

Anyways lets start..

Tonights ARTic was titled Kicked Out For Procrastination now the title suggest that this is about Procrastination, which it is. This episode was about how Amy didn't want to work on her project in reality but in the dream when everyone slacks off, everyone gets kicked out of the school. Amy then realizes the consequences when you don't do your homework or when you leave projects for the last minute or never hand them in. Which every student went on academic probation by the end. Luckily it was all just a dream.

Now I understand what Drake was trying to aim for with it being a fantasy but I feel it wasn't fantasy enough. I felt like they should of made more subtle it made look ridiculous, like some type of ARTic alternate world parody. It was hard to follow and didn't make much sense but then again it was just a dream at the end, so it kind of fits all the chaos.

I have to say Elly Chan who played Amy (while Leila is gone) tonight did a really good job and gives Amy new more innocent light. Elly has been improving each and every episode. She is progressing well as an actress and youtuber. Maybe I will review her channel or  a specific video of hers next.

I don't know why during this episode for Rhys Clarke who is the strongest in this show right now. I honestly want to see him in a movie or something. Like a James Bond movie. Maybe its accent thats giving me that vibe ?

Something that I noticed tonight was the new opening credits. They shortened the theme song to 40 seconds. But congratulations to the Willy family which is Kyle Willy portrayed by Remy Esposi and Principal Willy portrayed by Paul Petroskey also famously known as WeirdPaul. Huge fan of both of them so it makes me excited to see them in the opening credits for every episode. ☺

Overall I would give Kicked Out For Procrastination a rating of 5/10 or 6/10 it was honestly a mediocre dream episode that could of been taken further. But it still had its moments.

The other Drakoloid premiere tonight was High Schooled with the new episode called The Cult (Part 1). In this episode Derek and Ryan plan a sleepover which Sean intrudes and brings over his friends. His friends are part of this video game club called "The Hunters". Derek is trying to eagerly get in while Ryan wants nothing to do with it. When Derek tries to play the first day in the club Sean has to explain the rules. Then it fades out to be continued.

So this episode was well written, the acting is getting better and the production overall is amazing. Many compared this episode to early ARTic episodes where they get vibes of that. I also found the ongoing joke about how Ryan's middle name is "Leslie" hilarious because as someone who has done research on this show I found out that Ryan was originally going to be named Leslie.

Now I am just going to make a speculation on what will happen in The Cult (Part 2). I think Sean and the hunters will trap or abandon Derek and lock him out of his own house. Something along those lines seem to fit and the idea is for them to get back in. As well Ryan gets locked out too without realizing it. The hunters seem shady just because Sean knows them maybe?

Hopefully the second part comes out within the next month. I am going to tempt myself to wait and not watch it on Comedy Cubed as a loyal Drakoloid fan.

Overall The Cult (Part 1) is pretty solid and I would give it a 8/10 especially with the way things were excuted. Good job to Derek De Jong, Nicholas Merchant, Paul Ingersoll, Rhys Lewis and Lee Friedman.

Drakoloid Review: October 28th ARTic & Viral Jenneration - The End & Beginning of a New Era

Hello internet,

Retrograv here with my first review in a long time, My Drakoloid reviews always get the most views so I thought I would do one tonight on Drakoloid's/Frakoloid supposed "Night Of Terror".

First Drakoloid finally premiered the new season of ARTic which is also the final season. Now many were pretty hyped up for months but it finally came out. As someone who watched ARTic since it first came out many things have changed with the show. In tonights episode "The Phantom Funhouse"  Samantha gets a job at a Phantom Funhouse where she wants Jennifer, Amy, Bradley and Blake to make a prop for it.

When they place it in the funhouse they get lost and all hell breaks lose. Got to say the visuals in this were amazing reminds me of Sarah Kellysen's Psychedelic music videos as like a promotion, don't know if that was the intention. But I have to say Sarah Kellysen/Jennifer Clotz seemed very tired and very off in this she didn't seem like her usual. Starting with that gap sweater she was wearing it didn't make sense with her character. Its like a cross breed of Jennifer/Alice. Maybe Sarah is just tired now and her time is up as Queen of Drakoloid? Its strange how this episode is airing on this night and we notice this now.

I wasn't the only one who thought this many on twitter were discussing Sarah's spark/magic in her acting is gone. Also Jack Kelly who plays Blake Columbus he looked really good in this episode I wonder if he goes to the gym because it looks like he has a six pack, kind of how Drake Vegas always pictured Blake. He did a good job with acting and his scenery was the best.

Alejandra Deleon replacing Pat Kizer for Samantha Vegas I think because Pat has been busy and hasn't done youtube videos in a while. Alejandra does a really good job at Samantha because she's played villains on Rock The Basement and now ARTic. She could be in the rein for new Drakoloid Queen and possibly youtube queen. That make up and outfit was on point perfect and made Samantha look like a sexy slaying witch. Guess that works for halloween? ;)

As for Bradley Berkowitz, Rhys Clarke gets better and better every time he looked really good in this episode and those echo effects on his voice brought a haunting vibe to the whole episode. Elly Chan who plays Amy did decent herself and is getting better as time goes. Overall, The Phantom Funhouse is a strange season premiere, a fun one yet very bizarre and different. Not my favourite episode ever but its pretty average or above it so I would give either a 6.5/10 or 7/10.

The long anticipating Viral Jenneration has finally premiered tonight. This show stars Hazel Woodley, Shripunzel Jr, R.H.V., Cameron Watson and Michaela Chandler. It is based off the story of Jenna Rose the girl who got internet famous for being a young overly autotuned singer. In this case Jenna Martinez who plays Woodley has the same situation and its a view of how Jenna Rose's real life the day after she became Viral. The way its portrayed and written is really well excuted in my opinion. Hazel Woodley nails from bad to good really well in her acting, theres in more in-depth here then in her Teenhood performance, Maybe its because she's older here. I felt the same way about Cameron Watson who plays Ryder Thompson in this. In Long Lost he did a great job, but in this even better because he's older and has gotten more acting experience. Cameron also has great whitty comedic timing and charm that just works. As for Shripunzel and R.H.V. who play Sage and Leo they fit their part of being strong in a small world for being the small ones who were bullied on. They are great in tonights episode but you can see their is work needed but I think like other Drakoloid actors they will improve. Then there is the two twin villains done by one actor Michaela Chandler. She is a brilliant actress for playing two parts one looks bi polar and the other is completely dazed. Beautiful job on the role and nailed it.

Overall, Viral Jenneration truly is the new ARTic by the looks of it to lead the new generation of Drakoloid into a new direction. Its fresh, relatable to kids these days because anyone can become viral easily and it has a message about bullying and cyber bullying. Not to mention Hazel Woodley breaking out as her own type of artist and not being like the typical pop artists that work on Drakoloid. Hazel Woodley is the new queen/princess of Drakoloid and I hope we see her on more shows and Cameron Watson is the new king of Drakoloid and I hope we see him in more too. As well as Alejandra Deleon, Derek De Jong, Nicholas Merchant, Rhys Clarke and Pat Kizer as being legends too.

Tonight was the night where we can see the end of the last era and now were starting the new era of Drakoloid now.
